A Plague Tale: Requiem is a narrative-driven, action-adventure survival horror stealth video game in development by Asobo Studio and published by Focus Entertainment. It is the direct sequel to, and continues the story of Amicia and Hugo, siblings that are struggling to survive in a world ravaged by the Black Death.

The younger of the two, Hugo, has a mysterious blood disease that grants him supernatural abilities, and it’s up to Amicia to track down a cure.

After escaping their devastated homeland, Amicia and Hugo travel far south, to new regions and vibrant cities. There, they attempt to start a new life and control Hugo’s curse. But, when Hugo’s powers reawaken, death and destruction return in a flood of devouring rats. Forced to flee once more, the siblings place their hopes in a prophesized island that may hold the key to saving Hugo.

Summary

Six months following the events of the first game, siblings Amicia and Hugo de Rune must now travel to Southern France to look for an island which may provide a definitive cure to Hugo’s affliction. Hugo is frequently overwhelmed by his newfound powers, while Amicia must face the emotional trauma of killing enemies and other actions done to protect herself and her brother.

The game is scheduled to release on October 18, 2022 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S. The game will also be available through Xbox Game Pass from day one for consoles, Windows, and Cloud.
