I had all the cards collected, but I don’t think they’re required for the secret ending. I THINK it requires finding and acquiring the three secret abilities (double jump, directional zip and zip axe). Then you fight the final boss normally, and it’ll trigger a tiny bit at the post cutscene and then you fight the secret final boss. Beating this adds a tiny bit to the ending. New stuff starts at 2:30.

The secret boss is really tough, I died a whole bunch, and I had to go into the controls and rebind the ground pound move to a different button cause I kept accidentally squeezing the trigger in the air and it would screw me over.

Fantastic game, well worth playing. Beautiful animation and art, great world building and wordless narrative. Huge improvement over the first game.
