Having problems hitting tanks & causing damage? In this video the weak spots are identified and the game straight after recording the theory part I go on to score 5 kills and cause a decent amount of damage using exactly the same theory covered in the first part of the video.

I also point out the weak spots for the Type-59 tank. I am not a pr0 player, I just aim for the places I know causes damage and are sharing them with you to help you improve your game.

The equation is simple:
More Damage = More XP & More Coins

* Lower Front Armour
Its worth noting here that I did not mention about the under armour of the tanks. This is purely because I do not find it a hit point that I can consistently cause damage to. However if a tank is coming at you and showing their belly as they crown a hill, shoot it, they’re normally pretty weak there OR if you have a HE loaded, you can splash damage the front of the tank by shooting under it, rather than straight at it.

* For the Type-59 haters
Pay close attention to the gameplay, the accuracy of the Type-59 is appalling. Also this tank is very, very weak, aim for the points I show in the theory and show in the game and you’ll do what I do and head straight for them as I know they are easy kills (like the 2nd tank in the video).

Note: If I’m in the E-100, E-50 or either of the Panthers, I also ram them (covered later in the video comments). Also Type-59 on Type-59 ramming is equally fruitful, they just don’t expect it.

* More Gameplay Tips
Here are some more tips that I didn’t cover explicitly in the video:

– Tank Angle
Something I didn’t cover in the video itself is that positioning is key, never face your tank square on to the enemy, always try and have a slight angle, it helps with deflections. See the WorldofTanks wiki for a better description of this at http://wiki.worldoftanks.com/Tactics

– Use Cover
Just blown a tank up or found a wreak? Its now become a perfect shelter to hide behind. Use this as a place to hide from and help cover the weaker parts of the tank from enemies. In the latter part of the gameplay I use that Stug as shelter (although I still get hit, I’ve covered the weak sides)

– Spatial Awareness
Look at the mini map and keep an eye out for what’s left to kill. You can easily spot tanks coming towards you (immediate targets) and also targets like artillery that are not showing, so are likely still to be around the spawn points and could be a easy kill.

Also look out for team mates to hook up with, two or more cannons are always better than one and you can kill tanks in half the time (plus only one of you are being shot at so halves your risk of being shot at or being killed).

– Wait to Shoot
For all the shots made in the video, waiting until the tank is fully zoomed into the target is KEY. It only takes 1-2 seconds more to do so and its well worth it. It will make (hopefully) the difference between a quality hit and a miss.

– Ramming
The Type-59 is too light to do any real damage by ramming and wasn’t shown in the gameplay, however this tactic can be lethal. 99% of tank players do not expect to be rammed by another tank.

As such this is one of my primary goals of playing heavier tanks is to RAM THEM!! Even if its a few % off their health, it could be the difference between a kill and something shooting you back, also if you track them BONUS! Nip round the side and hit a open weak spot.
